The Gove County Health Department is accepting applications for a fulltime director. Applicant must be a Registered Nurse licensed to practice nursing in Kansas. Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and use public health computer programs is a must. The new director must live in Gove County and be ready to assume leadership of the Health Department
by December 11, 2023. Preference is given to Registered Nurses with public health training with wages commensurate with experience. We are a family-oriented business. The Health Department is open Monday through Friday, with flexible hours and self-scheduling. Gove County provides Kansas Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance and contributions to individual Health Savings Accounts. Additional benefits include paid federal holidays, sick and vacation time. Gove County is closed most federal
holidays. A county vehicle is provided for the director’s travel to and from work and for Health department activities. We are for the first time offering a sign-on bonus of $5,000 for the successful applicant.
