NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that the City/School General Election pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 25-105. The GENERAL ELECTION will be held on November 7, 2023. The Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The voting places in the various precincts or townships shall be as follows:

NOTICE: ALL VOTERS MUST BRING THEIR PHOTO IDENTIFICATION TO VOTE.

Any person registered to vote in Kansas may choose to vote early. To receive an advance ballot application, call the Gove County Clerk’s Office. Advanced voting in person shall begin Wednesday, October 19, at the County Clerk’s Office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please contact the Gove County Clerk’s Office with any questions (785) 938-2300.

HOW CAN YOU VOTE IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION?

There are 3 ways you can cast your ballot in an election. Advance voting is a way to avoid lines or you may go to your polling place on Election Day.

ADVANCE VOTE BY MAIL

To receive a ballot by mail, call the Gove County Clerk’s Office at 785-938-2300 to receive an advance ballot application. You can return the application by fax, e-mail, mail, or in person. The sooner we have your application, the sooner we can get your ballot mailed out to you.

If returning your ballot IN PERSON, this ballot MUST be returned by 7:00 pm on Election Day to either:
-County Clerk’s office
-Any polling location within Gove county

If returning your ballot BY MAIL, this ballot MUST be postmarked by Election Day and received by the Friday after the election.

ADVANCE VOTE IN PERSON

Our office is providing multiple opportunities for in-person advance voting. You may place your vote through in-person advance voting at the Gove County Clerk’s office.

VOTE ON ELECTION DAY

Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Election Day.
Please remember to bring your government issued photo I.D. to vote in person. You may only vote at the precinct in which you are registered to vote. If you are unaware of which precinct, please contact the Gove County Clerk’s Office at 785-938-2300.
