2024 Primary Election Notices

ADVANCE MAIL-IN BALLOT APPLICATIONS

The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is July 30, 2024.

 

EARLY VOTING

The Gove County Clerk’s Office will start early voting in-person on July 23, 2024, for the Primary Election.  Voting will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. daily.  Early voting ends at noon on August 5, 2024.

 

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTING EQUIPMENT

The Gove County Clerk’s Office will hold a public test of its election equipment on Tuesday, July 30 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gove County Clerk’s Office, 530 Washington St., Gove Kansas.

HOW CAN YOU VOTE IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION?

There are 3 ways you can cast your ballot in an election. Advance voting is a way to avoid lines or you may go to your polling place on Election Day.

ADVANCE VOTE BY MAIL

To receive a ballot by mail, call the Gove County Clerk’s Office at 785-938-2300 to receive an advance ballot application. You can return the application by fax, e-mail, mail, or in person. The sooner we have your application, the sooner we can get your ballot mailed out to you.

If returning your ballot IN PERSON, this ballot MUST be returned by 7:00 pm on Election Day to either:
-County Clerk’s office
-Any polling location within Gove county

If returning your ballot BY MAIL, this ballot MUST be postmarked by Election Day and received by the Friday after the election.

 

ADVANCE VOTE IN PERSON

Our office is providing multiple opportunities for in-person advance voting. You may place your vote through in-person advance voting at the Gove County Clerk’s office.

VOTE ON ELECTION DAY

Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Election Day.
Please remember to bring your government issued photo I.D. to vote in person. You may only vote at the precinct in which you are registered to vote. If  you are unaware of which precinct, please contact the Gove County Clerk’s Office at 785-938-2300.
