To receive a ballot by mail, call the Gove County Clerk’s Office at 785-938-2300 to receive an advance ballot application. You can return the application by fax, e-mail, mail, or in person. The sooner we have your application, the sooner we can get your ballot mailed out to you.

If returning your ballot IN PERSON, this ballot MUST be returned by 7:00 pm on Election Day to either:
-County Clerk’s office
-Any polling location within Gove county
– Health Department ballot drop box
– County Offices ballot drop box

Under Kansas statute, the deadline to return your ballot is the close of the polls on Election Day. A district court judge in Douglas County has entered a temporary injunction altering that deadline. However, the Secretary of State, represented by the Attorney General, has filed a motion with the Kansas Appellate Courts to stay the decision so that the deadline remains the close of the polls on Election Day. Because of the legal uncertainty while the matter is pending on appeal, voters are urged to return their ballots by the close of the polls on Election Day. Doing so will ensure that their ballots will be counted.

Our office is providing multiple opportunities for in-person advance voting. You may place your vote through in-person advance voting at the Gove County Clerk’s office.

Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Election Day.
Please remember to bring your government issued photo I.D. to vote in person. You may only vote at the precinct in which you are registered to vote. If  you are unaware of which precinct, please contact the Gove County Clerk’s Office at 785-938-2300.
